Who knows with the police state we now live in.
It isn't over for the RPD. No need for knee jerk panic. It has a newly made receiver so it can't be called a converted auto, and it is not a variant of a firearm named as prohibited by order in council. These are the only two ways the lab can classify a gun as prohib. Unless the government issues an order in council prohibiting the rpd, or belt fed, or something that could link the RPD, it will be fine.
SCCO.
You're forgetting one other way they can prohibit a gun ; if they say that it can easily be converted to FA.

The ATF lab says it can't be, and they say why in detail. The FRT lab has the ATF lab report.
I'm excited about owning another cool firearm, I'm terrified about our future as a country and as a legal firearms owner.
I'm both terrified of this situation yet glad this happend because now we have the chance( if you keep writing letter to your MP, primeminister and send them follow up letters to let them know what we want and what they are doing) to re write the FA and get it right this time.
I hope this doesn't have any implications for these ones. This is from a thread on the Saskatoon Gun Works forum:
In the final hour we have decided not to have our RPD shipped into Canada. With the current status of DSA not being able to make enough for there own market and some back room deals that were made in regards to sales in Canada, it just makes no sense what so ever to spend our money to do the classification.
To all those that have been waiting, I do sincerely apologize.
I guess they don't care to elaborate on what happened to the rifles they had coming in or the thread would not be closed already
hello?
True. I did forget that one.
Don't forget looks alone(GSG-522).
