sks

I find my Chinese isn't a bad gun by any means, But I get better grouping with my Russian. Browse through some of the other threads and you will find some importers are saying they are no longer importing the Russians. ( cheap anyways )

Just buy it !! Mod the crap out of it with a bunch of stuff that doesn't work..file it , grind it, shoot it, torture it, chrome it, polish it, paint it,.make it Bolt action..gold plate it..cut off the bayonet or add another....experiment..you will have fun. You cant go wrong. LOL.

the $75 marstar ones allright?

They are NOS Chinese military rifles. They generally shoot as well as a Russian, but their fit and finish is a little below Russian quality. If want one to mod or shoot a lot without caring what happens to it, these are the ones to get. I like mine, its my go-to fun gun. I usually end up brining a Russian along to, though.

What's a $75 SKS cost, delivered and taxed?

Here's what my quote was (shipping to Thunder Bay)

Gun-$75
Ammo-$285
Canada Post shipping for gun-$27.53
Canpar shipping for ammo-$53.51
Tax-$57.34
Total-$498.38

But depending on where you live obviously shipping would be different.

how do i make it bolt action?
does that mean i can unpin the mag?

Take out the gas piston?
No you cannot unpin the mag.

Compare with local and others, tradeex is 169 for a birch Russian + 225 for ammo +tax and shipping for gun only ammo shipping free! So$394 around $30 shipping gun and tax= same same!! Pick your poison! Russian might be $30 cheaper!

OP, if you are outside of the province you save some tax as well.
