The Beretta CX4 Thread

Hey has anybody set theirs up with a single point sling, and if so what setup did they find worked best?

This is what i do. I use this other piece from another sling, clip it around the lower handel, and than clip my one point sling on to it. I like it there. I prefer it further up on the gun, as opposed to back where the sling attachment piece is.

[/IMG]The Bushnell TR-25 will work good but if you really want to get the most out of holo-red dot sight, invest more money and go with The Leupold Delta point or the Hensdolt RSI, they are just great on it, really add for great precision... JP.

Holy crap man, i just googled that redot dot you have on there. Its $400!! Jesus.

I took my non restricted bull barrel CX4 out last Thursday. I have a Hensoltd RSA on it. I sighted it in by cowitnessing with the flip up iron sights. Pretty much dead on shooting 147 Winchester. The optic is a perfect match for the storm. The red dot also auto adjusts ie brighter in light, dims a bit in dark. Works really well. Plus it has a solar panel it uses to keep battery life reasonable. Highly recommend this optic, especially for the hard to equip CX4. I think it's slightly lower than the aimpoint micro which is what you want for the storm. Plus it's cheaper than the aimpoint and on some firearms it looks better. Poor man's HK MP7!!!!

Agree, bought the Hendsolt as well and it was a toss up between it and the Deltapoint... JP.

Thinking about adding a shroud. Anyone know of a shroud that will cover the full length of the NR barrel?

Alternatively, I was considering using the Moerse Lekker shroud which is designed for the restricted barrel. Would this shorter shroud fit securely on the longer NR barrel, even though it would not rest against the rifle's forearm? Should I leave space between the crown and the internal edge of the shroud, or push the shroud on as far as it can go until it touches the crown?

Thread it and put a muzzle break on it. I did that so much nicer that way mine is the 45 acp version.

I want to pop off and remove the butt pad and the stock spacer at the end......

I can not find any info on how to do it... but i know you can because they sell extra spacers you can add to increase the Length of pull.... i assume it is ridiculously easy and just pops off with a screwdriver....lol

Has anyone done it before?? I just want to confirm, so i dont start prying on something plastic that will break!!

Cheers!

The plastic butt pad will pop off just using your hands. Its a soft plastic that is flexible, you won't break it.

Just pry off the rubber butt pad with your fingers, and remove the screw that holds the spacer in place. The screw is quite long and has fine threads so it will take some time to remove.

Thanks Rupert and Jakester!

You guys were right. Real easy. The recoil pad just pops off with some prying force. I was able to do it with my hand. And the spacer just unscrewed. Haha and your right that screw was really long and tedious.

I had a little piece of plastic (nothing important, just a little left overs when the factory drilled out a hole im guessing) bouncing around inside the hollow stock that was driving me nuts! I had to get in there and remove it :) much better now

I have a glock 17 and a bunch of mags. Is there an equivalent of the CX4 that uses glock mags? I've been looking for a PCC for a while but I really want is one with a bullpup design. The only solution I've seen are conversion kits and they don't look all that good to me. If there isn't I'll be happy to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and get a CX4, but I wanted to make sure first.

Or maybe the better question is, whether or not a CX4 can accomodate a glock mag

As far as I know, the CX4 will not accommodate glock mags.

Beretta 92/96 mags, PX4, or Cougar mags via changing the mag insert (check Beretta's website).

Bullpup PCCs... Tavor with a 9mm conversion kit? I don't know if they're available in Canada... and obviously a rather large price difference if they were.

The CX4 is almost kinda sorta bullpuppish. The mag made it halfway between a Tavor and a JR or Thureon.
