I'm telling ya polish the mag tube! Lol I started with 400 grit and wored my way up too 1500 it's smooth as silk now.
0 issues since. Takes 15 minutes to do
I'm going to have to do this, mine was having quite a few issues with the low powered target rounds I was putting through it. More powerful shells were running fine. I wasn't too worried as I'd read it could happen and I'm confident I can get it running.
Thanks for the advice dieseldawg.
The o ring goes between the gas block and the gas piston. I used plain ol wet sand paper. Deemed seems like it would take forever and wouldn't be hard to get consistent
It jammed 2-3 target loads at first but after 50 she was running like a champ even with the very small aluminum base shells.
Ati makes an aftermarket 6 position stock ... using the shims supplied by Hatsan you can maintain the factory stock angle.
These guns have had a longer run in the UK (in bulk ) than Canada so do not forget the UK as a source for parts
This is a licenced copy of the Fabarm .. Fabarm is a copy of an HK shot gun, so expand your searches when seeking say a pistol grip stock or other accessories.
After market mag guide remington 870 fits.
Remember this is a semi-auto, you will find lots of posts re Hatsan plus two mag extenders, but you will be prohibited if you go any larger than " one" on this semi-auto. These posts are for the pump
Posts will say that the o-ring is like the 1100 .. the rings brownell sells are half as thick for the 1100, you get two extra o-rings in the box, but if like me and two extra is not going to fit well into your idea of best future prep, there is a gun shop in the UK selling OEM rings on eBay. I have read many posts on the web, they vary from 1000 rounds on an original ring to just a few, but they are rubber and can be affected by solvents, so the odd short round count post I have dismissed as user error ..
Some posts on you tube re assembly will have you putting the o-ring in the wrong place, reducing the unit to a club on light loads
I use a lee slug 1oz , had to move to 19gr of red dot from 18 in my 590 to get a recycle I could count on ( look up your own load data ) This is with a Winchester trap hull reloads ..crimped or rounded over.
You will need a rail extention ( coming to the back ) to attach a forend vertical grip .. I am 6'2" with long arms, so finding a thin rail extention is pricy. I could easily reach, but was not comfortable. Not every one wants or sees a need for a vertical forend grip.
I really like this unit .. my ATI stock combined with 1200FPS reloads, and a gas system, mean I can shoot this unit all day .. that is exactly what I wanted .. being an out of shape old fart my sholder continues to love me.
PM if you have a Question ...
Saw a vid that claimed the Hatsan (his any way) needed high brass to function reliably. Any truth to that?
Who is stocking these guns? Guns 'n Games has the pump. I'm thinking the semi-auto, but my wife is more familiar with the pump as she shoots a '97 in CAS.
There is a lot of wrong info in this post
first off
the mag tubes putting on a +2 mag tube is fine as per our laws, aslong as the tube holds 5rds of 3 inch with is 5 rds of 2 3/4
870 mag tubes do not fit, you will get a gap and have to use a spacer this can cause the ammo to catch on the space also the barrel to be loose if not installed very tight againsr the spacer.
There are 2 off sets for the mag tubes, what we call short, and long threads.
Most of the hatsan guns have the long thread, which is a large unthreaded section before the threads.
Remington o rings do not work, factory o rings are crap, king armoury sells some, as have them in stock.
Hatsan is not a Lic copy of the fabarm.
HK had had both Benelli and fabarm mag shotguns for them In the past, Semi was the benelli M1 and m3 and the Pump was a fabarm.
bbb
We do have some O rings in stockThe way I read the regulations your fine with a mag tube that won't accept 6 of what ever the longest shell the gun is designed for.... in this case 3 Inch shells.
If you plug the extension at 5.9 3" shells 6 2 3/4" shells will fit legally.
BBB, do you guys stock the Kings Arms O-rings? It's hard to tell from your reply.
