What truly obsolete chambering would you like to see make a comeback?

Turnbull Manufacturing can fix you up ... there'a a couple of 50-110's there, a standard '86 for $ 15k and a deluxe '86 for $ 30k. Pricey, but nice !!!

For a few bucks less, they will custom build you a 475 Turnbull on a '71 action for around $ 5 k. (Really nice case colours ! )

I have looked at that website more times than I can count. I have seriously thought about the 475, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'm going to go for the original chambering.

Sadly, no... Hahaha. It's an interesting caliber too and I have thought about buying a 76 in 50-95 many times. But my 45-70 has more power. Plus, the 76 action isn't all that strong. I might buy one with those prices from marstar though. That would be the cheapest option for a 50 cal lever gun.

Great thread, Ardent. Not to hijack here, but I have just seen Marstar's specials in 40-60, 45-75, and 50-95 on this thread and I am keen to pick one up if brass is available. Anyone know who has any of this brass in Canada (Starline would be a good bet as manufacturer I suspect). Anyway, if this thread puts an obsolete chambered rifle in my safe I feel your work here will be done. :)

x2 on the .350 Rigby mag. I don't know why, but that cartridge has always appealed to me. I think if Rigby's had introduced it with a 310 gr. bullet at around 2,350 fps, instead of the 225 gr, then released it to the trade it would have become a lot more popular. Of course, an original Rigby Mauser would be the perfect platform.

Be nice to see the 7-30 Waters with Lever Evolution ammo; and a 25-30 with Lever Evolution ammo. They would make for a good caliber for those moving up to center fire cartridges and hunting deer. They'd be a flatter shooting cartridge then the venerable 30-30 and mild on the recoil.
