I have the 2 tone sport model from a couple years back. It is very accurate (more than me) and shoots nicely. Are you aware that these are forged of superior 5100 tool steel? This post explains it nicely: My Cat's a genius.
Are the SAM frames cast or forged?
SAM is a cast frame, forged slide, CNC machined to tight tolerances. Forged, sloppy milled Chinese "superior tool steel" means nothing when everything is rough, loose and out of spec. On the latest batch of Nork 1911's the small parts are mim/cast now too BTW.
I have the newest version nork with the fiber sights and a Sam ss thunderbolt...they shoot identical. Both very accurate. One just looks a WHOLE lot better.I just ordered a SAM 1911 military enhanced in .45. It's going to be my next project, and ill do a side by side comparison to my norinco when it comes in. I think this SAM is going to turn out great, and already has a nicely fitted beavertail.

Is this a Norinco or a SAM? How much was it? How were the sights?
Thanks
