CSA VZ58 Broken Part

I just picked one of the 223 models up and have the dented brass. I asked the seller if he had noticed and of course all was good and no problems before. Should I just wait for it to break or can I be proactive

Sent Email yesterday. Movie arms replied today, prompt emailing and info. All in all. Firearm sent out this afternoon for warranty work! Very pleased.

Check what is stamped under the sight next to charging handle of it's stamped 13 you will most likely send it in like mine for warranty work. Bent cartridges and far ejection distances. Has to do with gas port holes being machined to big!

I sent my 5.56 to Movie Arms and got it 2 weeks later including shipping to the West Coast. After their repairs, brass ejects out 1 to 1.5 m. in perfect condition. I spoke to them before sending it and they asked questions about any troubles I may have experienced, if the firing pin had broken yet( not in 1500 rnds). Also brought up that all shipping charges are covered. They really impressed me. 500 rounds later all is good ! Still shoots into less than 2 minutes.

I have 300. Nothing broke yet but I get the dented brass and the extreme ejecting. Guy on the phone figured poor headspacing and porting issue

Are all 13 stamped .223 csa's affected?

Havent shot mine yet. Should I even bother testing or go ahead and call movie arms?

From my understanding a fair amount of 13's are affected but that being said, use it and you will find out right away. If your brass is ejecting very far and recoil seems pretty bad aswell as dented casing then it is to be expected that you will need warranty work from movie arms. But you might just be lucky and not need anything!

Took my CSA out for a test run. Seemed to work ok (except for a blown primer that shot my firing pin out of the bolt, TulaAmmo :() How far should the brass fly in normal conditions? it was landing roughly 4 feet away. And what part of the brass is dented if you have said issue?
