Because the mags also work with the PMR 30 wich is a handgun.

The IRG version has a pinned stock that won't collapse all the way keeping it >660 mm when folded thus allowing it to be classified as non-restricted. Barrel length doesn't matter because this is a semi-auto rimfire and does not need a 18.5" barrel.

I think having the stock pinned in the full open position with a short barrel and keeping >660 mm would have been nice.

I agree 100%. I'd love to see one with an ACR type stock and a short barrel. I'd buy that.

yes, but a folding vertical grip gives it a better look of a cheap mp7
