KEL TEC CMR-30 SEMI AUTO RIFLE NON Restricted on sale 599.99USD in Canada

I bought this NR from IRG 2 weeks ago. So, the good, the bad and the ugly...

Bad: This thing is a ton of fun... Great plinker (22wmr makes it certainly not a defense gun, but it's good enough for making holes in paper). Very light, compact, extremely well balanced etc. The almost inexistent recoil is a constant call for follow up shots... this is where it gets bad as you will eat mags at the speed of light. Good thing that IRG sells extras at a reasonable price. You'll soon be good at reloading. Some may argue that 10rds limit is a stopper (mags are shared with the PMR), I think it's ok (just like the 10/22 and mags are sold for a similar price).

Thanks for the review. Thinking of picking one up myself.
Seen a vid comparing the 22wmr to the 5.7x28. One could argue that indeed, the 22wmr could make a viable self defence cartridge.

Yes mine has been running like a champ also. I find the CCI stuff works realy well in mine.

You've made yours a beauty! The fake suppressor give it a unique look.

VancouverS4, you're not going to regret this and will soon have plenty of friend at the range... Only problem is to carry the ammo! I (with all the friends around) fired about 550 rds last time. No cleaning that day and was still cycling 30 gr (last remaining stuff). It was -14C... All in all reliable.

I will try to put my hand on some Federal for next time and will post.

Love Kel tec.....my last parts order direct from them, they tossed in tons of swag.....3 velcro patches, dozen or so stickers (big and small), keltec pen, keltec gunsmith screwdriver and keltec safety glasses

Awesome company to deal with as a canadian..be it warranty issues ....or talking to them on the phone.....awesome..thru and thru

So....I take it IRUNGUNS is sold out now? online chat a few days ago said they had only one left :( Guess i'll have to wait another month :(

I ordered mine on 01/28 and last I looked their site still had them

Man .22 Mag is $0.40 a round...might as well go up to .223 at that point.
I paid just under 30 cents a round.
I had some of mine up for sale awhile back for 28 cents a round but the shipping killed the deal unless I sold locally.
Cabellas will ship for free sometimes

The more I use the CMR, the more I think your comment is pertinent:
1/ A good shot definitely start with shot placement, and the CMR is surprisingly extra accurate. It's lightweight and ergonomic even add to easy speed acquisition
2/ The 16' barrel gives the appropriate amount of velocity to make the round effective, esp. with JHP ammo

Super happy with this plinker

Tenda has 200 round boxes of maxi mags for 59.99, that is .30 cents a round. If you buy 5 boxes, CCI will refund you one box in US dollars, with 5 boxes Tenda ships for free, that takes it down to .22 cents a round. I just did this
