I bought this NR from IRG 2 weeks ago. So, the good, the bad and the ugly...

Good: Business experience with IRG with great interaction with the team (asked serial before shipping, quick shipping, great packaging, excellent follow up and... nice T-shirt)

Bad: This thing is a ton of fun... Great plinker (22wmr makes it certainly not a defense gun, but it's good enough for making holes in paper). Very light, compact, extremely well balanced etc. The almost inexistent recoil is a constant call for follow up shots... this is where it gets bad as you will eat mags at the speed of light. Good thing that IRG sells extras at a reasonable price. You'll soon be good at reloading. Some may argue that 10rds limit is a stopper (mags are shared with the PMR), I think it's ok (just like the 10/22 and mags are sold for a similar price).

Ugly: I was hold too long by the (few I have to admit) bad review experience of some members. After reading the post with attention, I began to make myself confident that IRG was practicing business in good faith. I made the first jump with the CMR. Very good experience... This will call for more, very soon! Order with confidence.

Do these, in fact come with a bird cage at the end of the barrel?

Yes it does. Great care has been taken installing it (groves well aligned with washers). The result is very nice, especially if you are a bit vintage... with this it looks more like its ancestor the Grendel R31.

update: so far the CMR cycled with success (*):
- Hornady Critical Defense 45 gr FTX
- CCi Maxi-Mag 40 gr TMJ
- CCI Maxi-Mag 40 gr JHP
- CCI Maxi-Mag 30 gr JHP+V
- CCI Maxi-Mag 30 gr TNT JHP

(*) I do know Keltec advise 40 gr min for reliability in the manual, but everything has cycled perfectly so far.
