Poly 80 shipment update, May 21, 2024

So the big question this week has been will we get more parts from Polymer 80, and the answer is yes, one more shipment has just been submitted for customs clearance and hopefully will make it through.

The future however, is not looking good, our customs broker has just received info informing that not just handguns will require the new import permit, but all parts as well. That would be the new permit that they reported that they were not going to give to anyone...####ty.

Wait, does this mean no gun parts at all will be able to be imported into Canada? Triggers, barrels, sights, springs etc??????

Any idea on what’s coming with this next shipment?
Sides, frames, complete pistols etc..?

Also, but thanks for your efforts getting all these P80’s into the country!

Bad news, our current shipment has been turned around to be returned to Polymer80 due to advise from customs broker, as we can not risk it being seized due to the current politics.

Oh crap. Until things settle out? Or will you try and apply for a new permit since things have changed due to the "temporary" import ban? This is sad news.

Frames won’t make it across because the frame is considered a handgun on its own.

Any other gun part should be fine as the import ban only targets handguns.

doesnt say much in the second notice about handgun parts at all, as a non contolled part was allowed as long as it was under $500 under ITAR

Businesses are different, I have not yet had an import permit cancelled as of yet, but I am also getting conflicting information from cusstom brokers.

Current on the phone with the CBSA to see if they have been given any NEW directives to follow.

*update* the CBSA officer that I have talked to said that there in NO change in the importation of parts. No change in the importation of handguns, but if you don't have an import permit, it will be refused. So in a non-lawfull way the Liberals get what they want by denying all permiths for nNEW imports of hanguns.
