1 MOA Challenge 2011

To bad you guys are on the other side of the country I have Savage 308 F/TR that will shoot those 1/2 MOA groups all day long as well as my HS 300 Win mag and I won't even tell what my American Precision arms 338 laupa can do, but then again it wouldn't count as its a custom built laser gun.

Ill be there for the last one the 2 september dates I'm up north bear hunting. I don't have a chance in hell of making you pay my range fees. With a better shooter than I I think my stevens has a chance. I'm getting almost moa at 200 yards.

Funny, I am not seeing as many 1/4 MOA Savages or one hole Remingtons popping up since I issued this challenge. Come on guys there is still time to get in on this.

Hi Tom,
Couple of things....
Is there a limit to the cost of said stock factory rifle?

Perhaps you can expand the challenge to accept "postal" type match.?
Submissions of target shot with 2 signed witnesses (besides the shooter) and a pic of the shooter with his rifle and target????Oh and data of conditions of target shot ie temp,
wind,load...
Just a thought to help get things stirred up some more.
Gord

I would like to enter your MOA contest on Sept 10. Would any or all my rifles quailfy savage M12 Bench Rest 6.5 x 284, 2 Kimber 84 M, 204 Ruger, 3 Cooper model 21 222 Remington. All rifles are factory orginal
Thank-you

42MTD, Factory action and barrel? No problems bring it out.

Gord, the whole point of this challenge is to get people out to an ORA event. Cedar Springs is a very relaxed setting with a small number of shooters, therefore ideal for an easy introduction to our type of shooting. This also gives everyone the same type of day and wind conditions as everyone else.

hessels, Your rifles all fit the factory class, pick your best one or bring them all to try out.

bulldog284, I am not sure what is happening at Kingston but this challenge is to get people out to on ORA event at Cedar Springs.

All, The Sept 10 date is still good to go, however due to military requirements our other dates have been changed. I will post confirmed dates once I hear back from from ASU London. Pencil in Oct 8-9 as other dates.

With this event just 5 days away, could everyone that plans to attend please contact me or reply to this post so I can hire enough target markers for the day.

This just in. Sept 10th date has been cancelled by DND. Way beyond my pay scale and control. Will keep everyone infromed as to any new dates that become available.

Damn, I was thinking of coming to this since the CQB at Borden was cancelled. Can't win.

So count me in on the next one. I'd like to try my AIA M10 No4 and my M14. I'm sure the M10 will do the grouping since I have been practicing with it for the Precision shoot.

Just found out today, we have Oct 8-9 and Oct 29-30, so the challenge is back on.:dancingbanana:

For those that plan to attend please let me know, so I can hire enough target pullers.

You should plan to arrive at Cedar Springs around 8 am in order to get rounds down range by around 9 am. We will break at least 1 hour for lunch and we will be finished by 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday both weekends.

If you need direction please let me know.

Is it 8 am both sun and mon? Also how many rounds should I bring?

Saturday and Sunday 8am for a 9am start, both weekends. We will fill in the firing points as they become available. We usually shoot either 10 or 15 rounds per relay (plus 2 sighters). Plan on shooting 5-6 relays per day.

We usually shoot one relay then relax to allow the other relay shoot.
