Looking for a good 16/18" barrel

Looking to built up a trainer ( PRS)

What dealers should I look at?

For your purpose i would check out dlask. The ultra light aluminum barrels such as tactical solutions might not fit the bill as well.

If you are making a PRS trainer my guess your rifle is what 14#? My guess you want some weight to it?

Dlask would be the heaviest barrel you can find, but fairly accurate.

Drop it in a Troy or SR22/Nordic Chassi and be almost like your TAC21. With a Dlask 8".920 barrel, Moe grip, 9" forearm, SR22 chassi, fake suppressor, CTR stock, with 2X scope my 10.22 was around 7lbs. I'm sure if you put a A2 stock, a much heavier set of rings, 12-15" forearm, bigger scope, a 16" .920 barrel, you could push it over 11lbs, if needed weight the stock.

Still what is your end goal?
A tacticool 10/22 or a trainer .22?
By the sounds of it 25yds-50yds.
If your going out to 100+ imo a volquartsen, kidd or Magnum research is what you need for a 10/22.

I have a Nordic chassis ( SR22) but a short barrel already.

Will mount a nightforce on it and shoot from 25 to 200 meters. 50/100 most common.

OMG you gotta be some kinda well I cannot say it. He wants a trainer for PRS. Do you even know what PRS ? Its precision rifle series. Take that and put it into the search bar and let me google that for you. If you did a little digging you find out what Jamie runs.

Jamie runs like a 15+ pound rifle so I think he would want a heavy rifle to match. Not your light weight kiddy guns.

Pretty much this!

Have a lot of spare parts around to build it. Just need the barrel

There is no reasoning with him.

A troy chassis, dlask 18" barrel and a magpul prs stock would be a pretty sweet setup.

I agree, I noticed VQ heaviest barrel they got is the weighted muzzle one.

Jamie if your going to put the heaviest barrel, Might I suggest upgrading the Vblock to a adjustable ( Or drill and tap for a small set screw ). It raises the barrel to comp for the barrel droop of the heavy barrel. So you don't need to use more elevation to comp.
