10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

why does it guarantee it? What if my barrel is recessed in the stock and butt to muzzle is shorter than 660 but the stock is over 660? Again I keep getting different conflicting answers. Can you picture what i'm asking? I might have to draw up a diagram to explain it because i'm probably not doing a good job of it

Overall length is overall length. End to end, no matter whats on the end (except a removeable muzzle device). If the stock is 660mm in length or longer than youre gtg. If you extend the forend past the muzzle then the muzzle isnt the end of the gun anymore now is it? Hook a tape over the buttpad and measure to the forwardmost point of the rifle not including muzzle device. Normally people dont extend the forend past the muzzle and I have no idea why anyone would but in that case you would measure to the end of the forend or whatever is out front.

This is for non restricted Rimfires only.
This is fine as long as you did'nt cut the barrel down. It must be an OEM barrel of whatever lenght and the OAL must be over 26 inches (660 mm). This is measured from the Barrel tip to the longest part of the stock, with the tape Parallel to the barrel. It does not include any muzzle devices.

This is the same for manual action shotguns (pumps and whatknot)

It's all about OAL as long as you have a barrell that is not cut down.

I'm having a Fuch of a time trying to find the RCMP doc on this, but i assure you this is correct.

My gopher slayer :D.

Mods/stuff:
Power Custom ambi safety set to lefty
Volquartsen trigger kit (stuck with the factory mag release cause I like it better)
Volquartsen target hammer
Kidd Scalloped bolt
Kidd cocking handle
Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel
Hogue overmold stock
Leapers SWAT 3-12X44 (much better than that friggin tasco)
x2 aluminum matte black Tactical innovations mags
x2 Tri mags
1 Pro mag marauder magazine (I'm liking this better than the tac inc mags as I can actually get 25 in with the pro mag loader whereas the tac inc mags only will take up to 20 -barely-. Seems the spring is f**ked but when I open it up and operate it...it is fine going all the way down...any ideas?. )

My work in progress 10/22 build:

TroyT22Build.jpg

To date my build consists of the following:

- Butler Creek Steel Lip 25 Round Magazine (Krylon OD) x 2
- Magpul ASAP Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point
- Magpul MOE Buttstock Mil-Spec (Olive Drab)
- Magpul MOE-K Pistol Grip (Olive Drab)
- Power Custom Bolt Buffer
- Power Custom Sharp Claw Extractor (Titanium)
- Primary Weapons Systems T3 Magazine Release Lever
- Ruger 10/22 .22 Long Rifle 18.5”
- Troy Industries T-22 TRX Sport Chassis
- Vltor Mil-Spec Buffer Tube

There are still a number of things I want to do with this build such as swap the barrel for a Tactical Solutions 16.5” in olive drab, replace the bolt, cocking assembly and trigger group with KIDD parts in black and a couple other finishing touches.

Daughter's PINKY Build...

Details;

- Ruger 10/22 receiver
- Ruger bolt, sent to RFC's "QUE" for his work up and matt finish
- Ruger alloy Trigger Group sent to Brimstone for David's Tier 2 job and RT Pink trigger and VQ internals
- Boyd's Blackjack SS Evolution stock (Black/Pink)
- Dlask 8" .920 bull contour barrel
- RT tactical charging handle
- Tac Sol muzzle brake
- Dura Sight Z2 scope base and picatinny rail
- Low (too low) rings, trigger, charging handle and muzzle brake all sent to Dale (RFC's daletr) for his anodizing magic... thanks buddy!
- scope pictured is an Alpen Kodiak 2.5-10X44mm, which was only put on because the rings were too low to mount the Hawke Varmint SF 4-16X44mm that I bought for this gun... that will be corrected shortly! Here is the Pinky as she stands;

The old girl, '89 10/22 started life as a blued/walnut version. Now she's blonde/polished with a new take-off blued barrel. Sling is made by grizzly and has the Ruger name and logo embossed in it.

It's not bad,the fore end where the bipod attaches is a bit flimsy.Pistol grip fit nice, and weighs next to nothing. It would be nice if it had a front rail underneath for a fore grip. For 90 bucks it was a good buy.
This is the same set up I am working on getting. I just got the stock now I need to grab a 10/22! Looks pretty sweet how do you like the ergo and feel of it?
