New to Me.... As it came from Epps. Needs better, lower rings.. and a nicer Scope. Hopefully it shoots well. Will try it out Sunday.
Those look like Weaver Quad Tactical rings, too bad they're too high as they are great .22 rings IMHO. Put a 50mm scope on there and a cheek riser and you could probably keep the rings:D Other than that, nice gun.

Took your advice. Got another set of Weaver rings but a little lower this time. Not the quad ones:

Got it on with the boresight. Tomorrow I'll try it at the range.

A crappy pic of my 10/22 mini-SOCOM project in progress. Has a 12" McGowan medium weight barrel (straight 0.750" OD to the threaded muzzle) on it with an A2 flash hider. Waiting on a quad rail, TRS-25 red dot, extended mag release and extended bolt handle. I also plan to strip and refinish the stock in dark brown stain with boiled linseed oil finish to get that matte wood military look.

May not be the best one but its my first ruger 10/22 build and now I can't stop thinking what else to do to it..

Nothing special, just a standard 10/22 but I did paint the stock, and add an inexpensive (but good enough for me) Simmons scope.

Ruger 10/22 was my first ever firearm purchase, shot it a bit, then I completely stopped caring about .22LR for years and years and have only recently gotten into it by purchasing a .22 handgun and refreshing my love for the 10/22 by doing up the stock and adding the glass. To be honest, I quickly got bored with .22 which is why I neglected it for years but once I started getting bored of paying for .45, I have learned to like .22 more than ever now. Enough talking...

I think I need to get new lower rings so the scope doesn't sit as high. It's not unbearable now but I do have to hold my face noticeably higher. Guns are a neverending drain on my moneys!!!

Looks like all of 'em.

But here's the spankin' new 10/22 takedown model I just scored from Shooters Choice Alberta:
