Well.... The goodies showed up today.
From what I have been able to find online, There hasn't been too much info on this stock. And next to no YouTube videos, So I was kind of taking a chance with it.
I had no idea that the "free float" would be so extreme. As you can see from the pics, the first 2-3" is supported then a huge free float. Not sure if this will help the accuracy or not as I would imagine the action and short heavy barrel are so stiff that they would be almost unaffected by support or floating, I would imagine anyways.
The stock feels good in hand, shouldered. its light enough, But seems MUCH more rigid than the Over mold series stocks. The forend is a little shorter so the short barrel protrudes more than the OM stock and 12" barrel pictured above. Which I like. I haven't, and probably wont put this on a bipod as it'll be mostly a bush / walking / hiking / off hand plinker. However, I do plan to throw it on some bags and see what kind of "groups" I can get with the red dot. With the NEA, I was getting over an inch at 25 yards, I never did find an ammo it liked. I KNOW this thing will do better as Dlask hasn't let me down yet. With the TRS25 on this rifle and an 18" ER shaw sporter barrel, I was stacking bullets at 25 yards, I expect the same out of this setup.
Other than stock, barrel, and red dot, I also did my own JB weld trigger job @ about 2 #'s. The bolt has been polished as well as receiver, but the bolt in this one has not yet been radiused as its cycled every thing I've thrown it just fine.
Anyways, enough blabbing. hope you guys like, and hope it helps some with ideas if they are thinking of this stock. SO FAR, I would recommend it.
