From what I have been able to find online, There hasn't been too much info on this stock. And next to no YouTube videos, So I was kind of taking a chance with it.
I had no idea that the "free float" would be so extreme. As you can see from the pics, the first 2-3" is supported then a huge free float. Not sure if this will help the accuracy or not as I would imagine the action and short heavy barrel are so stiff that they would be almost unaffected by support or floating, I would imagine anyways.

The stock feels good in hand, shouldered. its light enough, But seems MUCH more rigid than the Over mold series stocks. The forend is a little shorter so the short barrel protrudes more than the OM stock and 12" barrel pictured above. Which I like. I haven't, and probably wont put this on a bipod as it'll be mostly a bush / walking / hiking / off hand plinker. However, I do plan to throw it on some bags and see what kind of "groups" I can get with the red dot. With the NEA, I was getting over an inch at 25 yards, I never did find an ammo it liked. I KNOW this thing will do better as Dlask hasn't let me down yet. With the TRS25 on this rifle and an 18" ER shaw sporter barrel, I was stacking bullets at 25 yards, I expect the same out of this setup.

Other than stock, barrel, and red dot, I also did my own JB weld trigger job @ about 2 #'s. The bolt has been polished as well as receiver, but the bolt in this one has not yet been radiused as its cycled every thing I've thrown it just fine.

Anyways, enough blabbing. hope you guys like, and hope it helps some with ideas if they are thinking of this stock. SO FAR, I would recommend it.

Here's one with a Butler Creek Folding stock that has it's folding ability pinned and disabled. The overall length of this is 26.5" with the A2 flash hider pinned on. The barrel is a 8" Dlask barrel which had most of it profiled to 1/2 inch thick. The result is a Non-restricted, ultra short, lightweight 10/22. It weighs less than 4lbs even with the reddot.

Manoeuvrability rivals a toy gun!

Parts list:
Dlask Receiver
Dlask 8" bull barrel, which has it's diameter turned down to 1/2 inch
Butler Creek Stock (Folding Pinned & Disabled)
AK rear sight
NDS Front sight
Upgraded trigger bow
Titanium tooless take down knob
Dlask bolt
Etc
Etc
Etc...

I put together this little tack driver, great at the range, I could put three in the same hole.

In the bushes it was awful, to heavy for me to shoot unsupported.

Lesson learned, I only keep lightweight guns now !

One more pic of the previous post. It's 26.5", non-foldable, weighs 4lb(thanks to the 0.5" thick barrel). It handles better than a toy gun.

After years of essentially ignoring rimfire firearms, about halfway through 2015 I found myself coming around to the idea of a cheap plentiful round, and embraced more shooting for the sake of fun. Especially seeing as rimfire gets the double whammy of legal short barrels and regular magazine capacity. So I wound up with a little .22 Bersa handgun, and decided to put together a 10/22 rifle. I'd seen the various archangel stocks and things like that, but they didn't quite grab me. Until the new Fab Defense stocks started showing up.

Part of why I like this stock on the 10/22 is that it's not trying to convince me it's an AR-15. I've seen lots of "tactical" rimfire stocks that just pay lipservice to black rifle aesthetics. I don't care about that. I do care about a decent grip, an adjustable cheek riser, and a little bit of pic-rail.
Hence: I like this little guy. I wish they'd had the fixed stock version a little sooner, as I had to JB weld the folding mechanism on this one. Still worth it for what the American's would call an SBR.

I'll check the math again, but I'm pretty sure I'm safely under $600 for this lil guy.

That's a factory standard receiver with an 11" Dlask barrel and an HC3R mag I got from a reddit secret sniper. Its a blast to shoot!

That thing looks pretty sweet. Almost has a bit of likeness to my SBR 10/22. lol
If you don't mind could we get a business end pic? it looks pretty chunky, in a good way.

Sorry, business end? You mean muzzle side?

Really like that stock, especially now that Zahal sells the fixed model for short barrels to maintain 26" OAL.

So, you said that is an 11" Dlask barrel? How long is the flash hider? Just trying to imagine what a Dlask 8" barrel with XB5 compensator would look like and if it would clear the fore end of the stock.

Finished my latest build. It's an early 80's receiver and metal trigger group with a Ruger sporter deluxe stock and an 18" Clark customs 18" standard profile barrel. I haven't gotten too carried away with this one as the trigger is worn in quite nice from being so old lol I may add a PWS T3 mag release though as I love them and the way they work. It's also sporting a Nikon prostaff rimfire 4-12x.

This ones quite different from my other shorter heavy barrelled 10/22's but I like it, it's a little more "classic"

Love it! Though it pains me you parted it out. If only I seen it a few days earlier on the EE! :(
