Midwest industries chassis for the takedown. Took the stock & trijicon 1-8 off my AR. A little overkill but what the heck. Better than collecting dust in the safe.
Chassis is a huge win if you ask me.
Just put this one together as the barrel just arrived from Brownell's. I wasn't planning anything, it just sorta happened. I bought MCarbo trigger springs and polished the internals, replaced the crappy Scorpion scope with an alright Vortex Crossfire II, replaced the crappy Scorpion rings with alright Vortex Hunters, put an ER Shaw barrel on it and dropped it all into a Magpul Hunter. This was just a beauty shot, not bore sighted yet as I ended up sliding the scope forward a bit after getting my 13-year-old to test fit it all. So now it fits me better, too! Range day on Thursday.
