10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Added the Burris Fullfield E1 2-7x35 with Ballistic Plex E1 reticle and hunter knobs and I'm very happy with it! I initially picked up the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 with V-Plex Rimfire reticle though I wasn't feeling it...

Getting a little closer to completion...

... almost done with the dry fitting, and haven't completely decided on the optic yet - might SPARC it... dunno yet... but I'm getting close.

And my better half likes it as well - before anyone asks about the bandage, she just had a biopsy... all good.

Update...Few more pics of the final assembly. I'm not entirely content with the sight, but it was sitting in the spare parts bin so for now it is what it is. I'll probably make an optics shuffle in the near future, but other than that, I think this project is done.

Made the 26" league minimum with an 1/8" to spare...

Size comparison - and I have hands like a muppet...

And compared with the KSG.

StormTrooper1015,

I hope all is well with her..... but now my turn to joke now!......kinda looks like a blonde "Hitler 'Stache" ;-)

That's what I've been saying as well... hahaha. All good - results are negative!

exactly! BTW, thats quite the "rock" she's got on her finger! looks like 3 Carats from this angle! ;-) must be nice to be rich!:p:D

Two things rabbits and wives have in common - they both love Karats...and of course the rock and the house were bought before the kids came along with their almost sinister method of draining our bank account...

The price of firearm ownership.

:)

Best observation ever!

Help sourcing a AR buttstock adapter for a BC 1022 folder?

What a great thread this has turned out to be eh?? Lots of kewl iron here and some interesting approaches to 1022 concepts.

I'm hoping someone here can help me to source a part I know exists and I have seen previously?

I want to mate a AR style butt stock (buffer tube with standard collapsable stock) to a Butler Creek 1022 folder stock.
I have seen the adapter I need. It is a round threaded piece that accepts a buffer tube and on the stock end simply has 2 slotted holes in it which will mount to a BC folder when the folder arm is removed.

Ideas or know where to find this lil bugger?

Thanks

New guy here: this is what I got...

I'm new here, been working on my 10/22 for a while. This is what I've done to it thus far:

-Filed the receiver making it possible to remove the barrel/receiver without first removing the scope and optics rail

-Auto-bolt release modification

-Added a trigger over-travel set screw (trigger stops travelling immediately after hammer sears)

-Mirror-like polish to ALL trigger/bolt/action parts that contact each other (makes the action reeeaaallll smooth, and helps it cycle less powerful ammo like subsonic and target ammo)

-Extractor tuned so no more FTE's!

-Added a rubber buffer (easier on the action, sounds better)

-Polished hammer/sear engagement for smoother trigger pull

All in all, I'm relatively new to firearms and have learned a shiit-ton off the net, and this thing is SUPER accurate, eats ANY ammo, and cycles as smooth as butter.
VERY satisfied with the Ruger SR-22 as my first rifle.
Next step: Chinese M14 :-D

Not my cup of tea for a single reason : camo tape. If you really want camo, do a nice paintjob. you can't pimp your gun with tape. it just makes it look cheap IMO.

I agree with you to a certain extent. However I chose camo form washable tape because it has grip, amazing grip! It doesnt matter if its wet, covered in snow etc. It adds a level of protection too!
