I'm constantly being over-estimated in my abilities. Dr. Lector still thinks I made that heatshield.

I could tell from the start its a ATI heat shield. Well what I suggested would been a cap. Take sheet metal, bend it and cut it to make a cap to give it the look of metal part of the fore stock.

Why are drum magazines hard to come by? Isn't Promag still making them? As far as I recall from reading online, all of the drum mags made so far were jamtastic failures - I would think they'd be selling for $10 each strictly as a dress up item.

Instead of using 2 shotgun heat shields, why not just use a piece of tubing, with collars at each end to support it on the barrel? Could be ventilated either with holes or slots, as desired. Muzzle end could be extendd slightly beyond the end of the barrel, cut at a slant to create the illusion of the brake.
The two holes through stock, the trigger group and receiver, could be lined with epoxied in steel sleeves, and push pins made to secure the barrelled action to the stock, yet allow takedown.
A Ruger factory magazine could be installed in a dummy drum, so that the "drum" would be positionned correctly for appearance.

I voted u should get mags because this is a forum where people like to spend obscene $$$ on guns :) and us young guys can live vicariously thru u.

On a side note, I actually find this whole psssh thing pretty funny cause I was drunk playind Call of Duty 2 with some friends one night and I kept making jokes about the Psssssh. I would pronounce it in a hilarious manner and kept saying that it, "has a simple point and shoot mechanism."

Does the word "squarier" mean anything to you?

btw this is the first and only sponge bob reference I will make on this forum.

I guess you had to be there.

I'm pretty young myself and have almost no money. That's why my projects have become cheaper and cheaper. All I did for this one is chop the stock, get some cheap sheet metal heat shields and tech-sights and an extended mag release.

Hmmm. There is square tube and rectangular tube, but the corners are too sharp.

That's why I think this solution works well. That and I don't have to make holes in a tube. Plus on the real ppsh the holes aren't round but oblong.

Now to find a cookie tin that I can cut and bondo and paint into a drum magazine.
