I really, really like the design of the Volquartsen barrel, particularly because the barrel-mounted optics rail. My only complaint with the 10/22 TD is the fact that mine just doesn't hold zero if any adjustments are made in the takedown mechanism. But wow - with a landed cost of nearly $500 CAN, it's just not worth it to me.
It would be nice if Dlask would consider making something similar, even if not carbon fibre. I think a shorter, SR-22 profile or stepped barrel with enough metal at the receiver-end to securely mount a scout scope or even a cantilever mount for a regular scope would be just the ticket. And with the dollar where it's at now, he'd make a fortune.
What adjustments are you making? I've broken mine down and dozens of times me with no noticible issues with accuracy.
