10/22 Tips & Tricks

Just wondering if anyone has tried carrying the stock 10 round rotary magazines in a speed loader pouch? I doubt they'd fit in a .38/.357 but am curious if they'd fit in one for .44 or .45. Post a pic if you have one to try thanks.

Hey, all. I was wondering if anyone had some input on the mag adapters for 10/22. Which is the best one, in your opinions, and is there much of a loss in reliability when using them? I sold my 10/22 many years ago when the ban came out, mostly out of spite, and after years of wishing I still had it I am looking into the adapter situation. The drum mag i had for the 10/22 worked flawlessly, I can't say that for other drums I have used. Any tips? How does it compare?

I think the best option for the higher mag capacity for the 10/22 is the HC3R, 25 rounds mags. You can buy the Dlask or the SBI receivers and they are already set up to fit these, and still fit all the regular 10/22 mags. I tried a few of the adapters, and just ended up going the HC3R route in the end.
They are a bit to get used to, but once you get them, they work well.

You can also have a gunsmith modify any 10/22 to take them. If they dont already offer that service you can have Dlask provide the data for them to do it or mail to dlask and they will do the work themselves.

Ensure you get the dlask specific HC3R, there is an american version without the extra bump on it and they would be considered prohibited.

I hope so... I'm now waiting on my SBI receiver and Dlask heavy barrel. I feel like this 10/22 is taking me down a deep rabbit hole! LOL

Well Frank, Ill tell you a short story. Was never a semi fan of any type of gun other than a shotgun. Then was introed into semi 22s. Rabbit hole. Ive built at least a dozen and probably many more. Just finished another. Cost breakdown so far is, SS Volquartsen receiver almost $800 with tax and shipping, Kidd trigger $600, Kidd match barrel $550, VQ target bolt $350, VQ tapped trigger pins $60, charge handle and springs $75, recoil buffer, magazine, thumbhole stock $400. So see the hole you can crawl into Haha. Oh and then an optic

Yikes....I'm trying to keep on the cheaper side for this first build but I have a feeling this is only the beginning of my inevitable descent down the rabbit hole! :)

Where did you get the tapped VQ trigger pins?

Where did you get the tapped VQ trigger pins?

I have purchased from Dlask a bunch of times but the last set I purchased off the EE o here. Bought a Kidd trigger and the pins for a great deal from a great member! Your probably aware but you’ll need the countersink for proper figment. The pins can be purchased alone or with the countersink bit. Cheers

Hey does anyone have the BX-25 (pinned) coupled magazine. Its a great idea but my 10/22 is kitted with the Promag Archangel kit and the fatter coupled mag will not fit all the way in.

Has anyone tried separating them from each other to act as single magazines?

Thank you
