I have one of these purchased from a seller in the western USA and then I had it fully restored by Nick Mackinson. (who did wonderful work btw!)

It has some phoney Wells Fargo embelishment, but the chokes indicate these 20 inch barrels started out this way right from the factory. Yay!!
The chokes are full and extra full. And I must say, it patterns very well indeed with the first few shooting experiments.

What I wish to express here, if anyone has an older shotgun such as this from the 1880s, think twice or even three times, before considering having the chokes opened up.

just info

It is a Parkhurst, of English make. It presently, very easily chambers/fires 10 gauge 2 7/8 inch all brass hulls from Parker Brothers. BP only and dolphin hammers.

Sorry folks, pics are a bit of an issue right now. Dmay will probably be the first to see it/handle it, other then myself and my shooting buddy Silverback.
WW Greener referred to this make of shotgun as a "trade gun" back in the day. And with a hint of negative connatation. (a bit too heavy, hammers not an exact match, etc)

But I consider myself very lucky to have it. Finding any antique 10 gauge coachgun (just online purchase) in the USA not actually sold at an auction house, is a feat in itself guys.

I'll work harder on pics folks.......
Cheers
