I thought there was a 200Y 10 round challenge thread, but I couldn't find it while looking. Anyway, I went out the other day for a day at the range, and tried for a small single group, 10 rounds at 200Y, with factory ammo in a DTA SRS A1, so technically a factory rifle.
Happy with the result, as I am sure its me that was the weak link in the equation.
Edit: Ill answer a few of the questions.
I am resting on a bipod (Cadex falcon lite) and rear bag, sitting position at a bench.
Scope is a SIG tango 4 6-24x magnification set around 18x,
No wind flags, but breeze was consistent roughly 5km/hr head on.
and point of aim was center of reticle, on center of target, but the stadia lines also framed the 8" target dot very nicely.
One trick for shooting groups I like it back your magnification off a little so the holes don't psych you out as bad, I like adjusting POA/POI off a bit too sometimes, but to me the point of shooting accurately is to hit what you are aiming for as well.
Is anyone else doing some group therapy now that the weather is getting nicer?
