100 Yard .22LR Challenge

As indicated in the "100 yard discussion thread" I suggested I might post again with one or more new-to-me rifles.

For my first entry since 2021 I used a rifle that I got in late 2023 and have shot a couple of times this spring, today at 100 yards.

The three ten-shot groups that followed the sighter bull are 0.604", 0.883" and 0.818". The average for the three groups is 0.786".

The rifle is a Turbo V2 and the scope a Sightron SIII 45X. The ammo was a fickle lot of Midas +. The box that gave this target was okay.

This is the my first attempt at the 100 yard Challenge. Not spectacular results, but a good start.
This target was shot at Milverton Rod and Gun on Ma 18, 2024 at 100 yards; outdoors. Winds were variable south by south east (crossing the range) at 5 - 20 km/hour from right to left.

The Rifle is a new to me CZ 455 Super Match Built in 2014; both action and barrel serials match.

Barreled action is mounted in a brand new MDT oryx Chassis (first trip to the 100 yard range).

Scope is a RITON 1 Conquor 6-24 x 50.

Groups were fired from a Feyachi Carbon Fiber Tactical Rifle Bipod 6"-9" Adjustable and a Rear Bag of unknown name, both from Amazon.

Ammunition was paper box CC! STD Velocity.

Group sizes:
#1 Upper Right 2.749-0.22 = 2.529"
#2 Bottom Left 1.743 -0.22 = 1.523"
#3 Bottom Left 2.654 - 0,22 = 2.434"

Average of all three groups = 2.162"

A reminder for shooters that targets must be on 65 lb cardstock, a requirement in effect since the challenge was created by horseman2 in 2021. The previous two entries were confirmed to have not met the criteria of using 65 lb cardstock for targets.

Anyone wishing to get the target, there's a link to it in the first post. Alternatively, a pdf of the target can be sent to your email.

Another entry with a new-to-me rifle. Originally the 2013 came to me with a stock designed to be held and it shot very well. A while back I got a free recoil stock so I thought I would try it out. For reasons unknown it was made to have an adjustable cheek, but it doesn't affect how it performs.

The group sizes are .742", .568", and .735". The three group average is .682"

This morning I had my new 54.30 at 100 yards for the second time. The last target today was the best so far.

The group sizes were .596", .697", and .837". The three ten-shot group average was .710".

Below is the rifle with its Sightron 45X scope. The ammo was Midas +.

My Second attempt; this time on the correct card stock as printed by Staples.

Barreled action is mounted in a brand new MDT oryx Chassis (first trip to the 100 yard range).

Scope is a RITON 1 Conquor 6-24 x 50.

Here is my setup. Public DNR range again with rickety stool, too small bench, and horrendous baffle system. Next time I may just go prone on the tick infested lawn and have less hurdles to overcome.
T1x
Match pro on 12x
$30 bipod
buddies shooting bag
SK standard
3D printed cheek riser
handmade walnut stock
3D Printed mag bases
3D printed muzzle device

This is what I have to look through!

And heres the target. I did math wrong, and included all 4 targets. I shot from top right in a clockwise direction, and on my last set tried to pre-load the bipod and keep the shoulder tight. I noticed when it free recoiled rounds would go 1/2" high.

AVG = 1.63" (1.22 if you remove the worst flier of each group)
avg of first 3 = 1.746"
avg of last 3 = 1.513"

Today was the second time I shot this rifle at 100. Yesterday was the first. Today was much calmer and the results showed.

The target below has four groups. The sighter bull isn't included. The group sizes are .836", .579", and .673". The three group average
is .696". The ammo was M+.

Below is the Vudoo V22S single shot rifle with the Sightron SIII 45X scope. It's a right bolt, left side loading model. After shooting tens of thousands of rounds that were loaded from the other side, it's taking a bit of getting used to it. But I like how the rifle shoots.

These groups were shot during our 100/200 Metre Rimfire on July 21.
The Rifle is a Winchester Model 52 single shot that is 89 years old.
Bushnell 6-24 Scope and Eley Match Ammo. The ammo was untested as it had been won a week before.
Although shooting in the BR class, it was shot in the manner shown in the picture. It could have been shot off a rest.
