10mm has gone the way of the DODO!

Most people who buy Glocks don't know about the big warnings about shooting lead through polygonal rifled barrels. While these barrels are fine for shooting jacketed bullets they lead dangerously quickly. People who want to shoot lead safely through their Glocks usually swap to aftermarket barrels with traditional rifling to avoid KBs.
Interesting. My HK manual says nothing about not shooting lead. I think it's a Glock barrel issue rather a polygonal rifling issue.

I won't own a gun that looks nicer than me. Glock 21, stevens 200, rem 870 super mag. If it looks good to anyone but it's own mother, I don't want it.

LOL,

Life is too short for ugly looking firearms.:slap:

Glocks are not really precision accurate either.

Basically its the AK-47 of the pistol world.

Great for combat situations....but not pleasing to the eye.

Why the Colt people brought back their 10mm in the 1911 frame is puzzling. The 1911 frame is just not up to a steady diet of full power 10mm. There is only one gun that is.
Its made in Austria, has a black plastic frame and starts with the letter G. They have 10mm down so well, that they even offer their 10mm in a compact version. It fires full power 10mm all day long.

Had to laugh....

I actually have a glock 29. Just got it. I love it. At first it was a bit awkward, but my comfort with it is catching up with the cool factor.

My only beef is that 10mm ammo is hard to find in any quantity. I have a .40S&W barrel for it, but its no fun.

After you shoot 10mm, switching to .40 just feels..... lame.

More 10mm please!

practically speaking, full power 10mm ammo is unavailable then.

Not is USA.

If you have ATC and want full power loads you will have to hit reloading bench?

Not sure what this has to do with them bringing back 10mm pistols?

I guess you won't be buying a 10mm then?

Hate to burst your bubble but Canadians do not buy enough firearms or ammunition to influence ANYTHING in the industry....

Norma ammo, if you can find it, is a full power load and is available with 230gr bullets. I just picked up some federal hydrashocks at the store. I have never tried these before.

I actually drove 2 hours to the big city for a look around in the big store there and looked at reloading stuff. But I forgot my book and they wouldnt let me borrow one of theirs to figure out what components I wanted so I left without buying anything. (I was bitter about the poor service too!)

I handload some .45 colt +P ammo that shoots well and was fun to develop. 10mm should be equally fun, or moreso. As soon as my smaller, local store gets some stuff in for me.

Maybe it's just me, but I am truly sick and tired of PLASTIC guns. I much prefer a solid steel frame gun in my hand.

+1, I will NEVER put a plastic gun in my safe. I don't care if it will do my laundry and whipe my ass for me, plastic guns just don't feel right.

simple. until one of the big three (WW, RP, or ATK) starts loading and distributing a reasonable selection of full power ammo for the 10mm, the general pistol buying market won't bother with it.

Doubletap, BB, and corbon are boutique manufacturers, and though I have no real numbers, I would be surprised if they produced 1% of the pistol ammo in the USA all put together.

Canada or USA, it doesn't matter.

If the 'Industry' wants the 10mm to revive, then they need the support from the ammo makers, not just the re-introduction of more pistols that shoot 400 ft-lb ammo.

Glocks are ugly, but they work. And they grow on you if you shoot one enough. Been there, done that. Never shot the G20 10mm though. Might it convert me away from my Delta's?

And Lugger's got it right... shoot what feels most comfortable to your hand no matter what the pistol is composed of... polymer, steel or al-you-minium..... ;)

Not a chance NAA!:)

I have a G20 & 2 Delta's.

I love the Glock and would pick it above all others if I had to stake my life on it. I've never had a ftf/fte with it.

But.....

For range use, comfort, feel, accuracy, etc. the Delta's get the nod every time!:D
