I have owned several Glock 20s, I usually have at least two at any given time. I recently picked up a Glock 40 MOS that I am really enjoying. I have also bought and sold a 1006, 2 Thureon Defense 10mms, a Glock 29, EAA Witness and probably a couple I can't recall. Unfortunately I had a housefire that claimed my all time favourite 10mm, an STI Perfect 10. You could say I'm hooked on the cartridge for sure!
how so? not any difference in a 1911 frame
I added rubber wrap around grips to absorb some of the recoil, or I would have checkered the front strap.
Had the G29 SF, love the size but it was a horrible shooter for my small hands.. my trigger finger and palm would go numb for every shot fired but I still love the ergonomics of it. Heard you could get rid of the finger sting with a trigger job? The pistol grip is a tod too short as well.

Does anyone have a current version of the Delta Elite? just wondering if they made the barrel with a bit more support on the new ones.
I'm still deciding between Colt and SiG P220....in my dreams... (or after I sell at least 3 things)
finally got a fully supported barrel for the g20. Now starting to reload and develop proper 10mm ammo.
There is nothing wrong with the stock Glock pistol. I have found the claims of heavier springs and aftermarket barrels to be massively overstated. I actually have had problems sooner with certain loads using the tighter "match" barrels sold by some. Unless the ramps on gen 1 and 2 Glocks were significantly different than now I don't see how you'd run into issues unless you were overloading the cartridge. In that case just buy something bigger. I'm currently push 135s at 1720fps and 180s at 1350. All through a stock Glock 20. My Glock 40 does even better with its longer barrel, though I haven't had time to retest all my usual loads.
I've noticed with my stock barrel the brass had a slight bulge, nothing like the glock smiles that I've seen on the net but it does have a slight noticable bulge. I just feel that the brass is being worked a little harder when resizing, I'd like to get as many load per brass as possible. I do load the 10mm close to max published loads, and when I finally get a chronograph I'll start experimenting with hotter loads. I think having a tighter chamber would help with that.
I did have some success with an aftermarket barrel. Like I said though most times the stock did as well or better. It's the springs that I consider a waste of money. Any real knowledge of gun design lends insight into how useless a few extra pounds of spring tension is as far as keeping a gun locked up. The biggest benefit I ever saw was not chasing my brass as far.
Awesome! Thanks for the great info. So basically a heavier spring is no big deal, from what you're saying. So with the stock rsa the g20 would be fine? The recoil from close to max loadings won't beat the frame to death or anything?
Thanks again for sharing your experience.
