10mm

Remington R1 Hunter 10mm could be an option as well.

It's already a longslide variant and avail in an FDE version to get your "Operator" status on ;)

I’ve owned a few Delta Elite’s a G20, a bunch of 610’s and a 1066. I gotta be honest I wanted to love the 1066 and I tried very hard but in the end I couldn’t stand it and let it go for a loss. Worst trigger ever, heavy, thick, felt weird, not accurate (probably me cause I couldn’t master the trigger).

I still own a never sell Murray Charlton custom 610 and a Delta Gold Cup but if I was going to buy another 10mm it would be a Dan Wesson Razorback. After shooting my nephew’s I came to see why people love Dan Wesson 1911’s so much. It was tight, smooth cycling, reliable, had a great trigger and shot one hole groups at 12 yards. I didn’t get to spend a long time with it but would have loved to put it through it’s paces in a competition or a course. The other one that I wouldn’t mind trying is Dan Wesson’s Bruin in 10mm. I’m thinking it has gotta be a tack driver and the additional length/weight would really tame the recoil.

I'm with you on the 1066. I had a 1006. To me it was an iconic collector and I liked that it was over-engineered, but as a shooter, it just wasn't as nice as the others. Had the Bruin. Wish i kept it. Impeccably put together package.

Come shoot it again sometime!

I also have a Sig 1911 Tac-ops in 10mm and love it, slightly worse trigger then the Dan Wesson but still very good especially compared to something like a Glock. My dad has a Glock 20 and imo the 1911 10mm are in another league as they are easier to shoot well, probably the trigger and grip are the main reasons. He has also ran into issues with hotter loads that my Sig handles fine (glock smile). They cost more, but you get the added benefit that they look way nicer!

I also looked at the P220 but never went for it, maybe some time in the future I will pick one up. There was a really cheap 10mm 1911 on the exchange yesterday too, might still be there. EDIT: it sold already

Gotta ask? Where are you guys finding commercially available ammo? And is any of it reasonably priced?.... I think I know the answer to the last question. LOL!

If you shoot high volumes, 10mm is a reloaders proposition but I have had luck finding commercial ammo (CCI Al and brass, PRVI, Wolf) for around $0.50 a round from Tenda, SRFC, Tiger, CanAm. Cheaper stuff goes quick so keep your eye open and act fast.

My G20 shoots really nice with the Ghost Rocket trigger kit and the 6# trigger spring. I will never let this one go for many reasons.

If I had throw away cash, the Dan Wesson Kodiak would be my other 10mm

Never owned a 10mm & it was always the availability of ammo that made my shy away from it. Guess I'll have to look for one sometime in the future. Thanks for the reply!

Never really found any that was a great price, other than the odd dusty box in random stores. I'm a habitual buyer though, always hated walking out of a gun shop empty-handed. So I've accumulated a bit over the years even though I never even fired the Delta I did have.

I was also looking for a 10mm gun.
Glock 20 gen 3 vs 4. They have the same trigger pull?
I have a 21 sf gen 3. I was not impressed with the trigger. I never try a gen 4.
