10mm

I'm with you on the 1066. I had a 1006. To me it was an iconic collector and I liked that it was over-engineered, but as a shooter, it just wasn't as nice as the others. Had the Bruin. Wish i kept it. Impeccably put together package.

I remember when you had your Bruin listed, I wanted to buy it but didn’t have the money at the time. Did you also have another long slide listed at the same time, a Les Baer maybe? Well this endorsement was just what I needed, I had the Bruin in my shopping cart for about a month and just went through with the purchase today, hoping it gets here quickly.

Come shoot it again sometime!

I also have a Sig 1911 Tac-ops in 10mm and love it, slightly worse trigger then the Dan Wesson but still very good especially compared to something like a Glock. My dad has a Glock 20 and imo the 1911 10mm are in another league as they are easier to shoot well, probably the trigger and grip are the main reasons. He has also ran into issues with hotter loads that my Sig handles fine (glock smile). They cost more, but you get the added benefit that they look way nicer!

I also looked at the P220 but never went for it, maybe some time in the future I will pick one up. There was a really cheap 10mm 1911 on the exchange yesterday too, might still be there. EDIT: it sold already

Hi Nathan! Ya your Razorback made quite the impression on me, just picked up a Bruin today. Next time we go shooting we can compare them side by side.

Great choice. I do like the new DW Kodiak as well but not a fan of the rail and the front tritium fibre optic on the Bruin would be better imo. I still have the LB, Perfect 10 and Tanfoglio Hunter, so yes like the longslides. Tempted to pick up a Delta or 220 again though.

Remington R1 Hunter 10mm could be an option as well.

It's already a longslide variant and avail in an FDE version to get your "Operator" status on ;)

I have this pistol.mine was made by Para before remington bought them out. It has been a flawless gun that I have carried for work in the woods for 5 years now(wilderness ATC). I have 3000 plus rounds through it and it never skips a beat.

I also have a Springfield xdm 10mm that’s pretty decent as well but I prefer the trigger and kinder sight radius on my 1911

We didn't have the 10mms during my tenure at Para. Would've be a nice change against the onslaught of 9/40 and 45s... I could only imagine the stoutness of recoil behind them given the proof loads we used for testing and the volume we shot on a daily basis.

I was also looking for a 10mm gun.
Glock 20 gen 3 vs 4. They have the same trigger pull?
I have a 21 sf gen 3. I was not impressed with the trigger. I never try a gen 4.

My dad's gen 4 isn't horrible but it is a glock trigger just like the g21 I used to have and the g48 i have now

Sounds like a plan

when i decided to get into 10mm i went with the G40.

a year later i picked up a Ruger SR1911 in 10mm.

love them both!

i must admit, i decided to do some upgrading to my G40...... i got a little carried away - may have - may have gotten carried away with the upgrades!
but it shoots like a DREAM!

Prices on new Glocks have taken a jump over the last week. A few shops were selling the G20 for $800, but now $848.

I have shot a few 10’s. Own a few as well. If I had to get rid of all but one 10mm, my G40MOS GLOCK would be the last to be sold. Great accuracy. Anvil tough reliability. Simple to use. Holds up to full power loads.
Plus it is a natural to go with my 10mm Vector Carbine.

Starting to miss my G20C ..... should have never trade her off.
Might have to get a G40..
You all have a great day.. $$$$$!!!!!!

Have been looking at the Kimber TLE...
and the Dan Wesson Razorback may be added to list to look at. Like the tritium sights...how are you guys finding the re-assembly with the oddly cut recoil spring plug?
A friend has the SR1911 in 45 and raves about it...may have to look at this in 10mm.
