10rd+ AR mags

I love how you read me say "less then 1/20" and then proceed to tell me I'm wrong because its actually less then 1/20

And something I might be able to add: Fudds CAN be converted. Case in point: My dad would say "Why do you need a pistol?", now his bolt gun has become a safe queen, and he loves to shoot his GSG pistol.

awesome, thats exactly the kind of thing that we need, it starts with the family, my sister was all "but pistols, not those guns, those are the ones that kill people" now shes ok with it, her husbands always up for a range trip, and I get to take my nieces to the range when they are older.

Now that the principal importer for the .50 mags has washed their hands of the "pistol mags" I can take a small sigh of relief that we won't draw the unwanted attention to the .50 rifle mags we are going to get. I thank you for your effort, and though I to would have enjoyed them, I just think it was too much a jump to think we would get a way with it. Then the whole house of cards would have fallen.

Personally, I disagree, the Liberals, the CFOs and the RCMP have been sticking it to us using "the law" as an excuse for a very long time now. This time the law was in our favour and IMHO we're giving up full capacity magazines for a consolation prize.

It's actually far less than 1/20, which was my point - and it was pretty apparent. That's like saying there are less than 2-million firearms owners on CGN. Factually correct, but it's not in any way accurate. There's also a huge difference between "registered" members and "active" members. The latter represents a small percentage of the total membership that would actually be privy to much of the ongoing discussions.

Someone can always pickup the torch with a different caliber, and one that has potentially less licensing or authorization-of-use issues.

Well, Alexander arms has put the kibosh on pistol mags, stating in no unequivocal terms they will not license any outsourcing of .50 Beo pistol mags, and will not manufacture ones them selves specifically marked as such.

Wow, how very short sighted of them. I love when a company comes up with a new wildcat cartridge and proceeds to license it into oblivion, ensuring it never becomes popular.

Why? It's their cartridge, and as their primary business model is the sale of the rifle - they have every right to do with it as they choose.

^that was waiting on pistol mags but I guess I'll have to put my name down for some 5/10s

Seriously? This type of endeavour has been ongoing for years without a single success (contrary to what people may lead you to believe). At best, this effort had a minimal chance of succeeding - and this was before factoring anything like the actual design, testing, approval, manufacture and import of said magazines - let alone where the capital would be raised for such an undertaking. Just obtaining approval/classification from the RCMP lab could take a year or longer, let alone the other considerations (some of which cannot run in parallel). So how long were you planning to wait exactly? Because this was never going to be a "in a few weeks" or even "in a few months" project.

Lol well I was using your tip on 13/10 xcr mags, so I was prepared to wait a long while.

Didn't say they couldn't do whatever they wanted there bucko, just that it wasn't smart. What's the point of selling an upper for a wildcat cartridge if nobody wants to shoot it thanks your restrictive licensing?

But I guess wanting it to, you know, catch on would be too obvious a strategy.

Let's be clear: your only interest in a pistol version is not so you can buy a .50 Beowulf SBR upper, but that you might benefit from an increased magazine capacity for your .223 in Canada as a result of a 10-round pistol magazine developed for it. So this really has nothing to do with a wildcat cartridge, restrictive licensing or wanting it to catch on. Bucko. ;)

Not necessarily. If it turns out to be a good cartridge (and the price is right) I just might get an upper for it as well since I'll already have the mags.

Nice attempt at a comeback there BTW. ;)

sorry king blax, I forgot how super different YOUR point that there is FAR LESS then 1/20, is much better then my point that there is LESS then 1/20,

why focus on the real point of bringing gun owners together, lets instead denigrate my point, and be divisive.
