Sorry, Airbob10, but that doesn't sound right. Every 12-6 licensed owner had owned at least one 12-6 handgun continuously since the mid-1990s. Unless you received a 12-7 from someone maybe?I'm 56. Just got my 12(6) 3 weeks ago.

Well I'll be damned. Well done--you're the newest entrant in the club by more than 20 years! It took 2 years, but I got the 12(6) a few weeks ago and new certification on my revolver as a prohib.
I know this is never happens, but I got one.

I bought a Taurus 38 special in 1982. The registration said 6 inch. I went to sell it to somebody 2 years ago and when I looked it up on the internet to see it's value, I discovered that it was a 4 inch and prohibited. I had all of the documentation to back up that the RCMP had verified it many times as a 6 inch barrel. I called the CFO, and they had me re-certify it as a 4 inch prohib through International Shooting supplies. I had to write the RCMP in Ottawa, and both Federal and the BC CFO agreed that it wasn't my fault and that it wouldn't be fair to destroy the revolver. I was granted a 12(6). It took 2 years, but I got the 12(6) a few weeks ago and new certification on my revolver as a prohib.
I originally thought I only had Possession, but when I went to International Shooting Supplies today and showed them my new 12 (6), that we discovered I had possession and acquisition.
