I have developed a really accurate load in my M96 using 129gr Hornady SP over H4831.
What I'd like to do is duplicate the accuracy with Barnes 130gr TSX using the same powder.
The COL I used with the Hornady SP was 2.905". The COL for the Barnes will be 2.95". After a bit of number crunching it appears that the Barnes bullet will be 0.106" more inside the case.
My question is, how much should I reduce the powder charge as a starting point for the new bullet?
My guess is 1 grain, but I would appreciate hearing from more experienced loaders.
Thanks
