assembly was tight and proper.I will go with the barrel to reciever alinement . seeing you had the barrel off the reciever .the 2nd time round were your impacts grouping but off point of aim .
only ever shot challenger target slugs and tactical buck. What brand leaded up your barrel?
I've shot hundreds of those same shells without issue or loss of accuracy. I haven't cleaned the gun yet, just disassembled to check what was going on and sprayed some CLP on the rotating bolt.only ever shot challenger target slugs and tactical buck.
to be fair, I am the second owner. Maybe the first owner did some silly things and i never noticed until now.I've shot hundreds of those same shells without issue or loss of accuracy. My first guess would be the Challenger slugs. They shoot minute-of-washing-machine.
Hey guys- wanted to update this thread.
It took me four whole evenings of cleaning the bore and gas system to get her perfectly clean.
I shot the thing this weekend and all the accuracy issues were immediately resolved. Shooting slugs perfectly at 50 years standing, seating, kneeling etc.
Prior to the cleaning i literally could not hit a barn door at 25 or 50 yards, it was insane how random the shots were. Up , down , left , right.
There was serious leading in the bore right in the center where the two holes are tapped for the gas system.
