1301 tactical mod. 2 black syn / pistol grip

Still no change to the plastic charging handle. I keep looking at that thinking it should go... but... is nicely oversized, is easy to grab, so I too keep coming back to 'if it ain't broke don't fix it" and leave it alone.

Ooopmh...$1900 US +exchange, +import, +taxes...that'll be a north of $3000.00 (probably approaching $4K?) shotgun...that's limited to 5 shells.

It's nice, but at that cost, given the restrictions in place, I'll just keep flexing my left elbow.

There are other good options for a semiauto shotgun.

Beretta may have largely priced itself out of the market just like Benelli did with the M4.

I can't see the mod2's exceeding the price of the Benelli M4, perhaps the "Chisel Machine stock" version.

It's getting close, and IMO the 1301, while a better shotgun in most ways, feels a bit cheap to be commanding that kind of price point.

Owning both, I find the build quality of the M4 to be be superior to the 1301. 1301 is great, love it, but the M4 has a simpler more robust gas system. Fit and finish is also better, as the warranty reflects.

Yeah the M4 comes off as being the shotgun equivalent to a semi premium gun like Beretta's X series handguns, rather than a Glock or some other standard grade pistol like the 1301 and most of its contemporaries.

Yes but I want it now:cool:

I was told by gun store clerk the mod 2 version didn't even have a FRT number and it would be likely a year before they get to Canada. This store already has the gen2 in stock. If true, I think that means the committee formed by C21 will likely ban the mod 2 version, as when they get going, why would they hold back on anything.

Dont see why the Mod2 wouldnt get a FRT... it's practically the same gun with 3 changes...

Im saving my pennies for the Mod2 though.

Would it even need a new FRT? Doubt if the new models show anything other than 1301 Tactical on them.
