I'm currently running a 16.1" MRA heavy profile barrel with a M4-72 comp under a 15" MRA SLW handguard. I am considering switching it out to a 14.5" Ballistic Advantage barrel and using my 11.5" MRA V-1 handguard. According to the math this would shave 11.9 ounces of weight off and give me a lighter and more maneuverable platform. How much more recoil do you think there would be? Both barrels would be mid-length gas systems with a non-adjustable gas block. I am not worried about range as our matches never shoot any further than 100 yds.
