$16,600 Norc

My mistake then. I was under the impression that hunting after sundown was prohibited at a federal level and that all ranges had to close after sundown.
People need to understand that all shooting is not hunting!

Hunting regulation only refer to hunting. I can target shoot all I want at night.

I would gladly put my M1A against any...and I mean any Norc...anyday! Don't even compare the quality and functionality of a Springfield

This is hilarious. I have owned several M1A's and the vast majority of Springfield receivers are out of spec, machined improperly and all are cast.
The norc receiver on the other hand is regarded to be as close to the USGI spec as it gets and is forged. Please do some research before you go off about SAI's "superior" quality. SAI receivers are cast in QC and alot of their parts are made in taiwan.
They are not worth the asking price. I just had a rifle built using USGI parts on a forged polytech receiver and total cost was less than the M1A standard with its cast receiver and knock off parts.

I sincerely apologize for the post I made earlier with regards to the word "chink". I apologize to anyone who was offended by said posting...that definately is not my style. I am not a racist....just a fan of the finer sporting arms. I never intended for my post to stir up racial tensions.

Somehow we'll get this thread back on track.

When it gets warm enough for me to do load development on this Norc M1A, there won't be any excuses as to whether or not it can shoot any better in that hands of someone else or it wasn't supported properly or my optics weren't as good as they could have been. I know what made the gun shoot before and I'll follow the same ingredients as before also. In the end, it will boil down to whether or not the stock holds the gun in place for it to be an accurate shooter.

In the meantime however, if anyone has any groups they've shot with their
M1A and want to talk about what their feeding these guns in order for them to actually shoot, be my guest. We can all learn something here.

I stalled the scope i plan to use to do load development, and I've started putting together the loads I'm going to test with.

your right it is illegal to hunt with a night vison scope thats why its on a quick cam mount to the fish and feathers dont see it bahaha

Nice rifle. I'm a fan of the JAE stock over the Troy but to each there own.
The thermal scope is great. I have always wanted to play with one but never had the $ to get my hands on one.
How do you like it? Have you had a chance to test it out yet?

Hijack Alert!!!

I would have put my M1A Nork up against any Springfield. With a minimal tune up (under $20) would easily shoot 1MOA or under with match ammo. $2,500 vs $500= alot of ammo to shoot though a Nork.

It baffles me why people think that Nork's are junk...

Back to the original programming...

Sweet Nork. How heavy is it???

friend of mine shoots it iron sights @ 800 m no trouble hitting a target.
not junk.
i shot cq 311 against guys and kicked their a.. no problem.
only issue is looks...
