All these people suggesting that because were in a "crisis" people shouldnt be so upset about this stuff.
Thats ridiculous.
If a business is open and operating, even during a crisis, they should operate in an appropriate manner and treat their customers properly. Crisis or not.
The OP did EVERYTHING right. He called, emailed and chatted BEFORE posting here. He used this forum as his LAST resort only and didnt try to rip the company apart. The company, Canam in this case, didnt respond appropriately to ALL of his attempts so he's using their forum.
Ive had dozens of great transactions with Canam over the years. As have hundreds, maybe thousands of others on this forum. However, these good transactions do NOT somehow erase the bad experience the OP had. Just because YOU had a good experience doesnt mean the OP isnt entitled to a proper response from Canam.
I hope Canam reads this thread, responds properly to the OP and things are resolved in an appropriate manner. That is what SHOULD happen.
