Accuracy like this at 100yd, using ammo priced less than $8.50 per box of 50 out of a factory $240 Marlin 717M2 semi-auto...what's not to like?

Coincidentally just fired these groups today while taking advantage of the nice weather. Amazing little round...fast, accurate, hard hitting...perfect for small varmints out to 130 yards or so.
Here are ten rounds rapid fire using a SnipePod instead of sandbags. Still very good (and cute little critter very unhappy) at 100yd:

I can't remember the last time I even scene one of these at a gun shop. I think the .17hornady has pretty made it extinct.
I never got it-slightly less performance then the HMR but 1/2 the cost....guess I'm a cheap bastard loving this round then.![]()
I think the MachII was over looked by most rimfire lovers. But I think that the interest is coming back with this round. I have bought one last year in a Cooper SVT and it is a great rifle that I enjoy shooting. A bud of mine from Lethbridge came for a visit in January and wanted to try it out and I think he loved it.
Many folks have been trying to find this caliber in a CZ lately, to no avail. Really it is just another of the great variety of rimfires and if you love rimfire you may enjoy shooting this round as well. FS
Let us know how it does blazing prairie dogs!
