My Eley stockpile is well over 16,000 rounds, so I should have enough to last for a while.
I have 30-40 rounds of hornady still Just no gun to shoot it in.
I just happen to know someone that will soon have a Savage for sale.![]()
Had a savage shot like crap. At 200 yards was hitting a a 16x24" ish target in a pattern covering the paper and hitting sideways. Speeds I was getting were really wild as well. Groups at 50 were around an inch and at hundred couldn't get better then 2" ish if I remember right. I can shoot 22lr for cheaper and better then that. Didn't have it for much more then a month or 2. Maybe if I could find a cz might think about another hm2 but doubtful.
Wont ever buy another savage rimfire. Ive had like 6 or 7 and all are gone after getting cz's. None of them shot all that great either for me.
15.99 for hmr? If so thats the normal price around here as well. Canadian tire wants $18.99 lol. My 93r17 in hmr would shoot around .75" at 50 and the odd 1" at 100 but most of the time it was 1.5". Sold it and got a 452 and shoots one hole at 50 and 1.1" or less at 100. But if anyone else's savage shoots good thats great. My experiences have turned me off of the rimfire line

I picked up a heavy barrel Savage in 17mach2 for a friend over a year ago. It averages under 3/4" at 50 yards, and under 1-1/2" at 100 yards. My Cooper will shoot groups half that size, but it did cost considerably more.
