17hm2 in stock?

I just purchased another 3400 rounds of Eley , off of a forum member, but I had to purchase a Savage rifle in 17mach2 to get it. My Cooper much prefers the Eley loads, so I just had to have it. My Eley stockpile is well over 16,000 rounds, so I should have enough to last for a while. I will be posting the Savage rifle in the EE closer to spring.

Tease...lol

Thanks guys, I checked on the Cabela's site, and it lists the Hornady as BO'd, I wonder if I can order directly from one of the stores. I'll have to make some phone calls. I'll check out Sail on the weekend too!

I just happen to know someone that will soon have a Savage for sale.:)

Had a savage shot like crap. At 200 yards was hitting a a 16x24" ish target in a pattern covering the paper and hitting sideways. Speeds I was getting were really wild as well. Groups at 50 were around an inch and at hundred couldn't get better then 2" ish if I remember right. I can shoot 22lr for cheaper and better then that. Didn't have it for much more then a month or 2. Maybe if I could find a cz might think about another hm2 but doubtful.

Wont ever buy another savage rimfire. Ive had like 6 or 7 and all are gone after getting cz's. None of them shot all that great either for me.

That's unfortunate to hear. My 93r17F was an absolute laser in 17HMR.

So far I'm loving the 17m2 (10/22 conversion), runs great and was consistently shooting 0.6" groups at 50 yards on it's first outing. I think my Hogue is contacting the barrel though and I forgot my rest at home, so I think it'll only get better from there.

The only thing bugging my right now is my local store only has the CCI, and they have it priced at $15.99 for 50 rounds. I'm not sure what the typical retail price is on that stuff (anybody else know?), but it seems way too high, so I'll definitely be calling around.

15.99 for hmr? If so thats the normal price around here as well. Canadian tire wants $18.99 lol. My 93r17 in hmr would shoot around .75" at 50 and the odd 1" at 100 but most of the time it was 1.5". Sold it and got a 452 and shoots one hole at 50 and 1.1" or less at 100. But if anyone else's savage shoots good thats great. My experiences have turned me off of the rimfire line

Nope, $15.99 for the mach2! I would pay that for 17hmr, but not for the 17hm2. I'm curious on that the retail price should be, because I'd actually like to ask them price match, or adjust it. Because $15.99 seems to be atleast 50% inflated to me for hm2.

I picked up a heavy barrel Savage in 17mach2 for a friend over a year ago. It averages under 3/4" at 50 yards, and under 1-1/2" at 100 yards. My Cooper will shoot groups half that size, but it did cost considerably more.

Ya I had a heavy barrel savage hm2. Ill stick with 22lr I have some that will outshoot that for a lot less money. If I want a bump Ill break out the hmr or wmr.
