The 17HMR is definitely human food on Jacks. I am comparing this to my .22-250. A shot well placed....head/neck is great with either gun. But misjudge your lead and the 17Hmr is more forgiving if you happen to nail'em in the broiler.
A light rifle, the 17HMR is a nice change of pace on Jacks....but the .22-250 is my top choice because of the extended range often required.
