I have owned the Browning, A couple Rossi rifles, A Chiappa and a Marlin in .44 magnum. the flaw in the Browning was the bore. Twist, rifling, etc. Same with the Marlin. The Marlin is also heavy and clubby feeling. Good for scope mounting if that matters to you. I kept a stainless Rossi 16" as a truck gun and wilderness camp bear repellent, built kinda rough but no complaints. I have the Chiappa 20" Case coloured as my " keeper" I like everything about it, especially after adding a Lyman receiver sight. One other comment. For actual hunting, the 20" barrel is far superior to anything shorter. People like how the really short barrels "carry" but they are harder to hit with in the field.
