1911 9mm choices?

i think STI has the 1911 9mm figured out pretty well. Freedom Venture will have many options

What's your budget and purpose?

Otherwise you are just going to end up getting the name of every 9mm 1911 commonly available before long

When I was in the market for a cheap handgun, the SAM 1911 came up a lot. I didn't want a 1911, otherwise it would have been very high on the list.

I just got a SAM stainless military enhanced 1911 in 9mm from Wolverine in the mail today. It's my wife's birthday present, so I won't be able to shoot it for a while, but it looks great and feels so much nicer and tighter than my Norinco 1911's that I'm tempted to order another one in 45 for myself.

Any thing around 1200 to 1500, and common is not too common in Canada.

No Springfield distributed, have problems with Sig 1911 , it's out.... So who has one that runs? That they can recommend

Well I have a Trojan in 45 ACP that I am very happy with, once I ditched the thin grips and bushings

I also have a Spartan IV in 9mm and I am pretty happy with it, but I'm not sure if it's a better gun than my SAM omega

Of course the SAM needed a new bushing and front sight before it would both group and shoot POA. I'm told I have bad luck by other satisfied owners however.

I know I wasn't impressed with the fit of the $1100 SIG at the LGS.

So if I were tasked to spend your money for you in your price range my gut would tell me to buy you an STI Trojan or similar from their lineup
