1911 9mm

SAM!!! Go to Wolverine Supplies, choose Handguns, then select SAM and then choose 9mm and it should give you 3 or 4 options.
I'm at war with myself between a SS Enhanced or Sigma 9.

I agree with Mr Friendly Wolverine regularly has sales on their SAM's and the price goes from good to great! I like my SAM.

I just ordered a ss SAM Commander in 9mm from Wolverine....should have it next week. $525 is a good deal for these.
For $800 I'd be on a Spartan VI....bull barrel Commander...

Norc 9mm with a trigger job is apparently a pretty great shooter.
i haven't shot one but one of my friends has good things to say about it.

Mine when I got it slightly used had a 10 lb trigger, it went for a trigger job and now has a very impressive 3 lb trigger and shoots surprisingly very well!

Well I wanna spend the least amount for a reliable 1911. But my budget would b 500 to 800 at the very most

Then I would say you're looking at a SAM at the low end and an STI Spartan at the high end. There are several models of SAMs to choose from in both Commander and Government styles. I own three SAMs, a stainless 9mm enhanced Commander, a stainless 45 enhanced Commander and a blued 40 S&W Omega 6 and am pleased with all of them.

My only knock on the STIs is that on the blued models the finish doesn't seem to stand up very well. Otherwise they are excellent guns.

Norinco makes a couple of 9mm 1911 versions and some people swear by them but the general consensus seems to be that while dependable they are definitely a cut below the SAMs in quality although in fairness they are also less costly.

I suspect that when Ruger finally catches up on demand (Lord knows when that will be) they will likely bring out their SR1911 in 9mm but that could be a few years down the road.
