Hi Guys,
Sorry for the multiple noob 1911 questions... Just got my first one from the CanAm deal, still getting used to the the platform.
During disassembly, is it normal for the slide to get "hung up" when taking it off the frame? I feel resistance when I slide it off, have to use some pressure to take it off the frame. Is there anything I could be damaging by doing this? It's also hard to put back on the frame, gets hung up trying to move it past "battery" in order to line up the disassembly notch with the slide stop.
Also, is there any problem with removing the bushing before you take the slide off the frame? I noticed most people leave it on until the slide is off the frame, I've been just taking it off after removing the recoil spring...
Thanks!
