1911 in 9mm recommendations?

Hope yours is better than the ones I got (bought one, returned it for another that was just as bad if not worse). Rough cut chambers (both), poor triggers, badly fitted parts (the first one actually had a chip out of one of the barrel lands). I have 3 other SAMs (an Omega 6 and two stainless Commanders, a 9 & a 45) which are excellent but the Thunderbolts were much more expensive junk.

I too have the STI Trojan in 9mm. It is worth every penny although I bought it new at less than $1200.00 a few years back.

I've always believed a 1911 is not a 1911 unless it's in .45.
Until 2 weeks ago when I shot a CGN buddy's Colt Combat Commander Series 80 in 9mm.
My gawd!! Easiest thing to shoot in any caliber I've ever shot! Clover leaves all day!

Colt Commanders were originally chambered for 9mm.
