1911 magazine compatiility question

So here’s what I have, ACT-MAG’s are what came with my pos Girsan 1911 lol. Dlask mags are what I bought circa 2015-16 iirc, they are identical and when I bought them in person I’m positive Leigh said they were made by ACT-MAG and stamped Dlask.

Thanks I think I will be ordering a couple of the Dlask or Act ones but really replying to congratulate you as that was your 10,000 post!

Oh snap, 10K bítches!!! I don’t know if I should celebrate or hang my head lol.

Hope your Tisas functions better than my Girsan, I get fail to feeds almost every mag, tried polishing the feed ramp, tuning the extractor, upgrading the recoil spring. Those seemed to help but haven’t totally solved it, I’m hesitant to spend the money on Tripp or Wilson mags on a gun in this price range that I don’t shoot a ton. At least I didn’t pay anything for it lol.

There is more - not all 45 ACP mags will hold the bolt open after the last shot. This results in much confusion on the part of beginners and some would be aficionados who squawk like a crow and complain when this happens. It does not mean the clip is faulty!!

Hehe, you said clip...

Someone will be by with your Goat shortly.

For the most part yes... but buy quality mags.

Wilson 45 mag works reliably on my SAM 40 S&W, where as the stock mag doesn't. Go figure.

Cobra, Wilson Combat, Tripp - in no particular order. None are cheap.

You'll probably see Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick as the most commonly recommended high-end mags.

There are many others. MecGar has a good reputation for 1911 mags. I've had perfect luck with various Norinco 1911 mags over the years (they are a very good copy of the original military mags), but QC is spotty.

You can get 7-rd and 8-rd, give that some thought, too.

Mecgar makes pretty solid 1911 mags. I believe Dlask sells them rebranded as their own. I have a few of the Dlask ones and never had any issues.

there is a pattern here: did wilson was said enough loud ... on my tisas/canuck they like the mecgar as well. the dan wesson lasd of my wife love the wilson.
