I bought two used 1911 mags recently. Lots of wear and not much bluing left. The serial numbers on the bottom is 50301 and 66634. I can't find any site that can tell me what the numbers mean, but these are very ordinary mags in appearance other than the heavy usage. 5 holes on either side to indicate how many rounds are loaded, no markings on the top of the lip, don't know what else I can say. No markings other than the numbers on the bottom of the mag.
Could they be military magazines? If so, when were they made? What might they be worth even though they're heavily used? Worth anything as a collector's item? I tried using them in my 1911 already and one of them could barely fit. Almost got it stuck. The other fit but had to be pulled out and wouldn't fall freely when magazine release was depressed. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
