1911 or Glock 21

I own a 10mm 1911 and a glock 40 in 10mm as well. Both are awesome but my love is for the 1911. Triggers on 1911s are so much better then striker fired guns

1911 easily. I have nothing against glocks and they're probably the more reliable gun. But the way I see it, it's like comparing a toyota corolla to a 69 charger

I have both and will never sell them. The problem with my 1911 is that they are almost too beautiful to shoot. When i do shoot them they are soft shooting and feel great in the hand. The glock has more recoil and is made for people with bigger hands but its a great gun and one of my favorite 45's.

Had glocks in 45ACP and 10 mm. Couldn't hit s**t with them. Usual hitting at 7 o'clock. Sold them. Bought 1911's in 45, 9mm and 10mm. World of difference. I can actually hit the targets with some regularity. If you are just punching holes in paper then 1911 is the way to go. Even competition shooters prefer 1911's.

I wonder what the OP ended up getting, this thread is coming up on a year old.
I'd say 1911 over the Glock. Had a Glock 21.2, I called it the "gym bag gun" cause it was the greasy piece of #### that was so big you needed a gym bag to haul it around.
Shot great thought. Hummm, I think I need to buy another Glock 21.2
