Why do I get the feeling Airborn_69 has more to say and has more experience in real tactical shooting then at least one on this thread. yyyyy you should know or at least see the signs of experience before you go off with your commentary.
Just a suspician on my part but you could do worse than have Airborn_69 on your right when the going gets tough. There aren't many I would attach that comment to but he and BMW would be two I would want. You would not hear the pitter patter of distancing feet that I am sure of.

don't discount any of the people in this thread, many of them have served their country and served in foriegn lands, from executive protection in the middle east to serving in bosnia during peace keeping missions, hell, get nestor to tell you some of his stories some time.
I am not going to post who has been where or done what, that is up to them to post..... but word to the wise, they have experience where the only thing TDC has done is take a total of ?what? 10 days of courses over a 2-3 year period.....
hell frankly I trust Nester the Nurse's opinion on weapons and tactics more then I would believe TDC's.... at least nester served his country and was an Arms instructor for Army.

Good points lads, but we are talking about what people post, not what they did or have done. I know the signs of experience, or at least intelligence and they do not include people who come in with insulting thread-jacks or calling someone ghey.
If you are talking about hitting the trenches than we would make different decisions. But that said that is why I appreciate Beltfed's on topic arguments, and Bob's dialog with TDC.... as opposed to the personal attacks.
Sure, I am not opposed to kicking on someone when all they can post is calling someone "Lawrence" and how other people are retarded, etc. But that is because they are simply wasting air in the thread.

Edit - Eg: The discussion about the use of reloading tactics relative to modern tactical instruction as well as "gaming" or IDPA I think is really relevant, as stated, I beleive that was the intent of the game. Note, by no means am I stating "playing games get you killed" etc, what I am trying to do is encourage dialog so we all can learn. The argument about "when are you ever going to get into a gunfight in canada" or the "keyboard commando" comments simply detract from that opportunity, as do the threadjacks. As such, and given that you are both proponents of IDPA, and TDC was engaging you so to speak, I thought that would be a great teachable moment.
For you to say, it is just a game, or call someone a mall ninja then detracts from the validity of you years of shooting IDPA IMHO, as the intended purpose of the game was to "simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters."
Thus to be fair, even if TDC is simply parroting what he learn't from and instructor, while Wes is buffing Ayoobs credentials, it is ironic as the same instructors TDC is talking about have taken those tactics from Ayoob, and other great instructors. Since it is a fairly accurate approximation of the latest tactics being taught in good schools, tactically and mechanically, this is an important discussion for all involved IMHO.
