1911's/AR's are like rabbits....

ah, yes, the m14 virus- you must always have a backup, plus one for every member of your extended family, you must wear at least 2 mag pouches and they must be full, and your drag bag must contain another 6, and whenever there's another wierd looking stock , you must posess it

NAA, I think you are tied with me at 17, am I correct? Oh well, there could be worse jones! Regards, Richard:D

Naw, not me.... ;)

That pic above was circa 1997 before I pared 'em down somewhat. Today I'm down to a completely manageable number.

I just wanted 'em all to know what can happen when the 1911 addiction takes on a life of it's own.... :D

Looks like the top row in that last pic are all WWII issue 1911's.

Those four represent the 4 WWII USGI pistols that are still "attainable".... Colt, Ithaca, Remington-Rand and Union Switch & Signal mfg 1911A-1's. Although the latter, the US&S is very scarce these days.

You can still find original finish Remington-Rands and Ithaca mfg 1911A-1 without breaking the bank. But Colt and US&S are rarely seen these days and when encountered will cost you.

The holy grail of the WWII 1911A-1's the Singer [yes, manufactured by the Singer Sewing Maching company] you will only see in pictures. I don't know if there is even one in Canada.
